Tips and Tricks of the Blackberry Storm 9500
RIM (Research in Motion) has manufactured its first handset cell phone that utilizes a touch-screen and touch-user interface. The technology even has a name - SurePress, and RIM has acquired a patent for it as well. The touch-screen is meant to simulate a real keyboard, with clicking sounds to boot.
When the Blackberry Storm 9500 is powered up, the first thing that the user will notice is the large and excellent color contrast of the screen itself. A default home screen will be seen first - i.e. two rows of available applications. This screen can of course be changed to suit the users needs. A full screen of applications can be viewed by pressing the menu key, or by turning the handset to landscape view.
The virtual keyboard actually takes up only about half the screen when viewed. The keyboard can be hidden by swiping the finger in a downward motion along the touch-screen interface. This makes the keyboard “disappear”. To restore, simply go to the main menu and click “show keyboard”. More Blackberry Storm 9500 tips and tricks can be found here.
