Verizon Blackberry Storm Review | Video Review Blackberry Storm

The first Research in Motion touchscreen device becomes on of the biggest competitors to the iPhone today. In this review you WONT see us compare the iPhone but you WILL learn more about the Storm than you asked for! We highly recommend this phone.

  1. that wont happen.. and its only because they havent sent out the update yet, which improves things on the phone.. it will eventually have an equal or better accelerometer than the iphone.

  2. the accelerometer sucks… wut happens if the screen gets pushed in and gets stuck???

  3. did the same thing you did, wasnt even at 1 year, i had to pay full retail.. i payed $532.00 for full retail + tax.

  4. with the screen being a little gap, just get a screen protecter, ittl most likely keep the dust out

  6. Old timers must remember Dick Tracy and his state of the art wrist radio. LOL. Times sure have changed. Great reveiw on the Storm. Mine comes today and I ordered on-line at 3 in the morning.

  7. let me guess, you have an iphone

    great review

  9. not at all as fluid as an iphone and i mean ive said it before when time magazine says steer clear of this phone it cant be an iphone killer THEE END.

  10. its not because you didnt have it in two hands the accelerometer is slow on the storm its been a complaint from everyone

  11. i walked into my verizon store on saturday and they were already sold out, and they said everyone was sold out. the next shipment will go out on dec. 15 at the latest, which is a bummer :( i went ahead and ordered mine and will just have to wait…doesn’t help that i had to buy mine on the 1 yr so i paid 350 bucks for it

  12. I agree 100%

Every phone with a touchscreen that comes out is automatically compared to the Iphone…and it just gets old reading about everyone comparing the two. I’m also on Verizon, so I will hopefully be getting the Storm tomorrow (if my store gets the shipments in, that is.)

  13. LOL no wifi No you tube plastic screen that scrached on my friend phone on the 1st day and importing mp3s and especially video is a night mare NO apps Still uses mobile web browsing which is crap And Slow hardware. oh and for those that go travelling um there is no 3g in other countries so you would really need the wifi which um this crap dont have so have fun loading your e mail wake me up when its done lol

  14. people…its just a phone. who cares if its better or worse than the iphone…seriously.

they are obviously both awesome phones. I just ordered the storm because i’m on verizon, which is a better network than ATT…everyone that has the iphone says its drops calls all the time (not because of the phone but because of the network).

  15. great job reviewing it. 5 stars

  16. I have on and I absolutely love it. It took about an hour to get confident with it, but after getting past the learning curve it’s a really powerful device. Yes, I’ve encountered SOME bugginess/weirdness, but it’s very infrequent and not a problem; in any case practically all devices of this caliber are released with some bugs which are later fixed. Don’t believe me? How about Windows XP for example. lol.

  17. Woot for no iphone people talking all this garbage like OMG IPHONE IS THE BESTES!!! STORM IS A BUGGY PHONE and all that…. All I know is when the iPhone was released some didn’t turn on…. You be the judge.

  18. i love this phone. click screen is amazing, so easy to navigate and never select by accident

  19. not only dust .. what if i get water on it ooopss!!! will it be fuk up already ??? i think that is an accident waiting to happen ..if i get this phone i’ll be the first phone i will buy insurance for … btw.. mobile youtube suks ass

  20. where can i get a storm cheap?

  21. nvm he just said it.

  22. does the Storm have UMA?

  23. In my following comment I meant to say Blackberry’s Bold, not curve.

  24. The absolute best review of the storm I’ve seen! I’m not a mac or heavy itunes user. All the reviews comparing the iphone to the Storm were useless to me. The iphone is a phenomenal phone. It just doesn’t meet my needs. You including the Curve & the other options were a huge help! Demonstrating the phone in the dark rendered a better feel of the device. Your lengthy review, which hit all aspects of the storm was just what I was looking for! This will be my first smartphone. Thanks!

  25. I love the iToy, I mean, iPhone fanboys who think there was no such thing as a touch screen phone before Apple came along.

Let’s not forget, the iPhone has had 2 gen’s and numerous firmware updates. The Storm has been released for exactly 2 days. Given BlackBerry’s stellar stability and quality, there’s no doubt, any issues will soon be taken care of.

Likewise, the reviewer was concerned about the small gap around the edge of the screen. There’s a membrane that protects it, no worries.
