What Makes the Blackberry Storm Better than the iPhone and G1?
I’m trying to decide if the Blackberry Storm is worth staying with Verizon or should I just switch to T-mobile for the G1?
another question I had was…
What makes it better than both the iPhone and the G1.
Also, side question, is there anyway to fix the aim issue with Verizon.
Basically have the html aim instead of having to move all your buddies to mobile buddies?

it just depends on the features that you like everybody will say something different
iphone’s the best
the apps
itunes
the ipod
the user interface
iphone’s the best…PERIOD
Iphone is the best….. Why ??
Top 10 reasons to buy the iPhone rather than the Storm
1. The iphone has wifi. Without it you can’t get voip, remote
desktop, and access where only wifi is available, etc. You’ll save $1
per minute for roaming with a plan. And you know wifi on airplanes
has been approved and is being rolled out.
2. It’s 20% lighter than the Storm and since the Storm has an extra
battery, you have to carry it too.
3. Since you’re stuck with Verizon or Vodaphone, you stuck using their
gps apps for an extra $10 a month. No Loopt, no Googe Maps, no Google
Street View, none of those neat real estate apps that tell you what
houses are for sales near you.
4. Your battery will last a lot longer if you turn off 3G when wifi is
available, 3G is the real battery hog.
5. You don’t have to spend extra money for memory.
6. You won’t see most of the great games for the Storm, why, because
the click through screen will kill them all, and of course, you have
no access to OpenGL.
7. The iPhone will be at least twice as reliable as the Storm, one
small reason the click through screen depresses so far it’s going to
gather crap around the edges probably will even let water in.
8. It’s a real iPod, the very best with no haggle connections to
iTunes for ease of use.
9. Verizon and Vodaphone lock you into only those multimedai services,
so no Pandora or any of those multimedia apps and you’ll pay $15 a
month to use their services.
10. The App Store, App Store, Apple Store with over 5000 apps that are
not controlled by the carrier.
it depends on what you want
iphone is all around, lots of apps, popular, clasic
g1 has qwerty and touch screen
storm has surepress technology (press down on the screen), business users better, 3.2 meg camera and flash
iphone bad camera, no flight mode
g1 weird tilt at the end
storm no wifi
There is some good information at this site, you might be able to get your question answered there. there is an article that compares the iPhone.
I do know that Verizon is the only carrier for the Storm. Also, you might consider waiting for the Nokia 5800 Music Phone. That one is going to be killer when it is released early 2009.
Personally (and of course, all of the answers are opinions) there are strong points and weaknesses for each phone. As the owner of all 3 phones (for at least a week) I personally LOVE the new Storm. Yeah, I over payed for it on ebay to get it early, but that’s nothing new for me.
I know this sounds crazy, and there are way more important things to talk about, but the “click” that the Storm makes is absolutely amazing. I have big hands, and I’m not a HUGE fan of touchscreen keyboards (which is why I liked the G1), but the clicking noise lets me focus better and actually type something out without “fat fingering” it.
Not to mention reading PDFs on the Storm is a delight, among other things. It may not be able to compete application wise yet, but I’m sure that will change in the future.
Hope that helps!
actually i work at circuit city so i got to see the new blackberry storm. storm got better camera with flash, u can picture text and all those stuff but i found it slow. the 3G browser was fast but not the processor on the blackberry. it takes a while for applications to loa. the touchscreen i found was stupid. u actually have to push it down like a button for it to work. i think IPhone is better cuz its lot easier to use and AppStore enables lot more features that the blackberry cant do. go for the Iphone.
